Former Google consultant was hired by Bakkt, to help develop its company and aid with the roll-out of a new app. Bakkt Pay should be released in the next couple of months and will most likely allow instantly changing from cryptocurrencies to fiat.
A former Google consultant was added to BAKKT team, as they are getting nearer to releasing a product. Chris Peterson, previously a UX advisor for Google, joined cryptocurrency venture Bakkt until now this month as the company works on rolling-out a mobileapplication for a digital asset wallet, dubbed Bakkt Pay.
Former executive at PayPal and Google, Mike Blandina currently started working with Bakkt as Chief Product Officer. Bakkt, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, is still reportedly working on its bold crypto platform & cellularsoftware for feasiblelaunch in the next couple of months. The organisationalsoannounced they will accept a confinedrange of users for checking out its bitcoin futures listed and traded at ICE Futures U.S. and cleared at ICE Clear U.S.
Bakkt defined they would also launch a platform that is going to allow the trading of Bitcoin and the investment of this Bitcoin in normal 401(k)s.
Not many detailswere given about this presumed mobile application, but the reality is that Bakkt’s recently-updated website mentions digital payments.
An expert from Bakkt.com says:
“Whether between consumers and merchants or peers, the ability to conduct transactions in digital assets holds promise as a these new global currencies evolve beyond a store of value or speculative assets, and as distributed ledger technology scales. Bakkt is working with leading merchants who recognize the potential of digital assets.” .
Bakkt is still in the process of working the launch of the platform as they promised. Company but has to provide a concrete date concerning when the product will be launched officially. There is nonetheless a variety of regulatory problems that have to be negotiated due to the nature of cryptocurrency and how it is exclusive from everyday money.
